Our History
Leo Advertising is one of the leading advertising agencies of Northeastern India. Born on 18th December, 1997, with a humble team of just about six odd people, we have now grown into a family of seventeen members, looking after various fields of outdoor advertising, One Day International Instadia advertising, event management, product launches, trade meets and expos.

This agency was conceived primarily only with the motive our outdoor advertising it has diversified into many other activities which are mentioned below.


OUTDOOR: Their first foray in the world of advertising started with the outdoor media - in the form of kiosks and hoardings. At present, they have a whooping number of 375 hoardings of various sizes, starting from10’x20’ to 120’x25’, both frontlit as well as nonlit. The hoarding space and kiosks sites are available throughout the northeastern region. Other outdoor media services they provide include glowsigns, neon signs and digital signage.


ONE-DAY INTERNATIONAL

INSTADIA ADVERTISING: Venturing into instadia advertising was one of the major turning points of their agency. They have successfully handled the instadia advertisements for the ODI at Guwahati, played between Australia and South Africa, on November 1, 1996. Another similar assignment came during the ODI at the same venue, this time played between India and Sri Lanka, on December 22, 1997. Yet another instadia advertising task was assigned to them during the India - New Zealand match played on 14 th November 1999. They claim to look forward to more such ODI matches, so that Leo Advertising could prove their mettle in the international arena too.

EVENTS: “Jagit Singh Nite” Leo Advertising organizing a musical nite, featuring Ghazal Maestro Jagjit Singh. The people of Guwahati freaked out on the night of 13th February 2000, even as the singer mesmerised the 5000-strong audience with his evergreen ghazals.

 

“INDIAN OIL The millennium Fill & Win contest ” this year was organised for Indian Oil Corporation Limited. The idea was to usher in the new millennium with some fun and folic. As many as 52 retail outlets were selected from the northeast for the event. Besides these, fashion shows and beauty pageants were also organised by us. Such exposure gives talented local model a lot of exposure, apart from an opportunity to share the ramp with some of the top models of the country.

 

Kaziranga Centenary Celebrations was held at the Kaziranga National Park in Association with the Govt. of India and the Govt. of Assam. We had been a part of this historic celebration which is held once in 100years. Maharani Gayatri Devi, renowned environmentalist Mark Sand and the Great grand sons of Lord Curzon were some of the celebrities invited for the event.

 

PRODUCT LAUNCH: Nestle – KitKat : The launch of Nestle’s KitKat - which we handled - was one of the biggest launches in the northeast region. We are proud to say that no other product was launched in such a grand scale till today in the city.

 

Cussons Imperial soap & Talc : a world famous name in toiletries was launched here on November 1996. In fact, after the successful launch in south India, the launch at Guwahati was the second phase of the nationwide launching of the product in the country.

 

Shell Lubricants: The launch of Shell lubricants was done in a small impressive ceremony.

 

ITC Natural Lights : This was the one and only cigarette brand, which we had launched by direct interaction with the people in the streets of Guwahati. Free sampling along with lucky draws, were also a part of the launching.


Cadbury’s Picnic & Milk Treat: These two chocolate variants were launched in one of the leading hotels of Guwahati. Free sampling amongst school children was the major highlight of the launch.

 

LML’s Freedom: The two wheeler from the LML stable called FREEDOM was a launch to remember. The launch had surpassed the sale record of all its competitors in this region.

 

Mahindra’s Scorpio: The much awaited SUV of Indian make was launched with great funfair with selected invites only.

OTHER SOCIAL ACTIVITES: Rs.25,000/- was donated for TARUNRAM PHUKAN PARK at Bharalumukh.
